The peaches from Valdichiana are renowned for their intense sweetness and enveloping fragrance: they grow in a favored territory, with ideal temperature variations between day and night in summer that concentrate sugars and natural aromas in the fruit. Our peach jam captures all of this in a jar: selected peaches picked at full ripeness, transformed with the simplicity of Tuscan peasant tradition.
Ingredients and Method
- Selected Tuscan peaches — harvested in July/August at full ripeness
- Slow cooking over low heat: golden color, intense fragrance preserved
- Only peaches and sugar — no preservatives, no thickeners, no artificial flavors
- Hand peeling and pitting — artisanal processing
- Hot packaging for maximum food safety
Pairings and Uses
Classic for breakfast on toasted bread, but also surprising when paired with semi-aged cheeses like Caciotta Toscana or Fontina. Excellent for filling tarts and cookies, as a warm sauce over vanilla ice cream, or as an accompaniment to baked goods. It also pairs well with white meats: try using it as a glaze for roasted chicken — surprising results.
Format and Storage
Glass jar. Store in a cool, dry place away from light. After opening, refrigerate and consume within 7 days.
