Aglione is found, with cloves much larger
than those of regular garlic
and bulbs that often exceed
500 g. Aglione is much sweeter
and less pungent than
common garlic. Widely used in

Val di Chiana Aglione: an excellent ingredient

Aglione (Allium ampeloprasum var. Holmense) is a native variety of sweet garlic, with large bulbs and a delicate flavor, much less pungent than common garlic. Grown between Arezzo and Siena, it is the undisputed star of traditional Tuscan cuisine.

  • Fresh garlic (7%)
  • Parsley, salt, natural spices
